Neighborhood Villages
The strategy for creating a sense of community in Woodhaven begins with the creation of several "neighborhood villages" that serve as community centers, transportation hubs, and combine a mix of uses, including residential, retail, office, and restaurants. This diagram shows locations of proposed neighborhood villages in Woodhaven, as well as the 5- and 10-minute walk zones. A 10-minute walking distance is widely regarded as a reasonable distance for a person to travel by foot.
