Circulation

Automobile traffic in and around Woodhaven is concentrated on the main arterial roads. The access roads for I-30 and Loop 820 also bring traffic in and out of the neighborhood. Smaller roads feeding the access roads provide some circulation, but then terminate in the neighborhood as dead end or loop roads. Traffic congestion is low, as the roads are wide enough to carry the present traffic loads.

Many Woodhaven residents use public transportation. The 2000 U.S. Census reports that 3.4% of Woodhaven residents over 16 take public transportation to work, as compared to 0.6% in Tarrant County. The primary mode of public transportation is the bus, which is operated by The Fort Worth Transportation Authority ("The T"). Bus stops are concentrated along Boca Raton, Bridgewood, and the intersection of Woodhaven and the I-30 access road. The high concentration of bus stops may offer opportunities for consolidation. An additional public transportation choice for Woodhaven residents is the Trinity Railway Express, a commuter train linking Dallas and Fort Worth. The Richland Hills Station is just 2 miles north of Woodhaven and could serve commuters to both Dallas and Fort Worth.
